I've given stuttering a lot of thought, and I think the purpose of this subreddit should be improvement, somewhere you can get new ideas for challenges, feedback and of course information and support....
I can totally relate to this and it makes total sense. I just need the courage to accept it and start owning up to it instead of hiding in fear. Thanks for the great reply....
It totally depends on your confidence and ability to communicate. Speaking and communicating are completely different. This topic has come up many times in my NSA chapter meetings. After many interv...
That's just the thing-- in my experience, and a lot of other people who stutter that i've talked to, you become so much more fluent when you *stop trying not to stutter* -- you have to stop fearing it...

Exactly this, one day at a time, look for things that make you happy, because happy is often comfortable and comfortability is the key to fluency. I am in college and it's definitely hard to start con...
Preach on brother! I agree that you just have to stop caring about your speech and what others' think to some extent, just be careful it doesn't turn you into someone you're not. I would hate to see...
Congrats. IMHO you can't erase stuttering, you have to embrace it and go from there. Nice job on the new gf and the conference. Hopefully others can learn from you in this subreddit....
Not like this always works for me, this is an unorthodox method to stay relaxed and I probably require some professional help for thinking this, but meh. I remember William Wallace's quote in Bravehe...
