I used to have big trouble with speeches, but one trick that did kinda work from me is talk in an accent... I gave a speech once pretending to be Nigel Thornberry and I actually stuttered a lot less.....

Yes, same with me! Also I've observed I tend to stammer and struggle getting words out that uses throat as the base. But when I fake imitate accent and talk only my mouth, I don't stammer....
