I agree with Delphineftw. Don’t show negative emotion towards his speech. Also try not to interrupt, say the word for him or “relax” etc. My parents did this a lot out of good intention but it only made me more aware. Finally, keep him talking as much as possible so that he doesn’t end up getting quieter and quieter. I’m just talking for myself though
