Hi, I also stuttered my whole life and didn’t notice any change in my stutter with TMJ, so I get that they’re not directly linked. That said, chronic tension from stuttering and facial habits over time can put extra strain on jaw muscles, making them more prone to pain, tightness, or trigger points. So it’s not that stuttering causes TMJ, but the tension patterns built up over years can contribute to symptoms.
