I stuttered as a child/YA, but went into "remission" until my late 20's (stress of college, marriage, and being a father caused a relapse). As such I didn't experience the usual shame associated with stuttering during my teen years. I think that you should find a psychologist that you like and can connect with. Coming to terms with *how* you feel *when* you stutter will go a long way towards working towards living with your stutter. In addition work with a speech pathologist on trying to manage your stutter (if that is a life goal that you have).
