My stuttering started about a year ago, but it has a strange effect at times I don’t see talked about About a year ago I developed a stuttering problem. It’s stress related, and only comes up in times of high stress but sometimes it won’t go away for days after the stress is gone. Whenever i start stuttering only affects maybe 1 in 4 sentences, although sometimes instead of being me stuttering at random intervals, my brain blanks out on one word and sometimes it’s the only change that’ll happen Certain bigger words will tend to just break. The moment I start speaking the word it doesn’t let me get off the first few letters. The worst case was the word suspicious, in which I couldn’t get off the first S, and lasted over a week (I swear I’m not doing an Among Us joke either, it was a weird issue I had which just so happen to be related to it). Of course it isn’t a commonly used word, and it wouldn’t affect me unless I’m in specific situations, but I was confused why it was just that word that I couldn’t pronounce. My question is: is this normal? I tried looking it up but I never got anywhere. It wasn’t just the missing word that would happen either, I did have normal stuttering too. That was just the weirder issue I was having alongside it.
