If you havent been to the NSA conference, I really think you need to go. I've met some people with a lot of disfluency. A lot. Who still "do it anyway". the difference is they've learned and practice how to keep moving forward and not let the painful feelings cripple them. I know a guy who is fluent maybe 80% of the time (sometimes more, sometimes less) and he's studied abroad in china for a semester. Later he spent a year in the middle east teaching english. All the while stuttering during his lessons. The kids thought it was...interesting at first, but he explained to them what was going on and then no one really cared. it was just how he spoke. I think getting good support and seeing what is possible could be the best thing for you. seeing it in person and talking with such people. If you live in the US, i really recommend you go to the conference.
