Love this. Once I went to go visit someone in a nursing home and the receptionist asked for my name. Stuttered VERY badly “A… A….A…. Alex…” nurse immediately laughed and said “oh are you sure about that?” I snapped right back “I have a stutter so it’s hard for me to speak under pressure” and she IMMEDIATELY stopped laughing and apologized. It’s good to not only stand up for yourself, but to make others more aware that people stutter!
