I didn't necessarily receive braces when I was an adult, but I had been stuttering for years before I got them. I was 17 when I got my braces and I had them taken off at 22. I have found that while I was wearing braces there was no change in my stuttering. However, a year later, I am controlling my stutter much better than I previously was. It could be something worth looking in to, and I highly doubt you would have braces as long as I did. Plus it's always nice to have good looking teeth!
