All the time. I think of the positives, but also of the negatives, as should you. Positives of *not* developing a stutter: Less social anxiety, able to say what you want when you want, one less thing to worry about for job interviews/dates/presentations Negatives of *not* developing a stutter: I would be a different person (potentially to a great degree), less challenge in my life and therefore less growth or appreciation, less empathy, less impetus to think before speaking, might well have been a blabbering fool. All in all I am grateful for having grown up with my stutter. Given the chance, I wouldn't change the fact that I *had* it, but I would change the fact that I *still* have it. Although, I can report, recently my stutter has been very minimal and hopefully I am finally growing out of it. We will see. Also, the whole food thing is normal. Don't sweat it.
