He’s literally the reason I’m a speech therapist! If it wasn’t for him idk where I’d be at today. I remember after his program, I ordered food for the first time in my life without stuttering, and that simple moment changed my life forever! With that, as a now practicing clinician, I find this expectation of 100% fluency all the time to be a little unrealistic. That’s not to take away from his work and the program at all, because it changed my life, but I feel like setting that expectation sets people up to be disappointed on their hard days, since 100% fluency is nearly impossible to achieve every single day. In my opinion, if you can reach a level of fluency you’re happy with, even if it’s not 100% fluent, that’s a win!
