Will be starting University (first year - Engineering) this fall and super nervous

Will be starting University (first year - Engineering) this fall and super nervous Any advice , What was your college/uni experience like ? How hard was it to make friends ? Im afraid of being lonely. Also I am going abroad so it might be a bit more difficult. Any tips on how to make friends?
