In three letters: A, A, T. Acceptance, as in self acceptance. I accept that my speech impediment is a disability and it's what it is. Doesn't mean I'm less. I'm just me. Accommodation, as in we deserve reasonable accommodation. What that accommodation should look like will be different for everyone. I just want my speech in meetings/presentations to be not interrupted by usually one or two seniors who do not let me finish my sentences. Therapy. In my case, regular therapy and speech therapy. I realized I need at least 30 minutes of venting per week or I'll go crazy. Hence, regular therapy.
