I've realized I have this problem too. I think it's gotten worse with age? I started journaling again after a long time, and I have noticed I skip certain letters almost like my brain is skipping ahead to the next letter. It's almost impossible to stop... I would have to completely and unnaturally control my lettering. I guess I'll call it my own special shorthand.
