Well we dont even know what really causes stuttering or exactly what the problem is. I may be mistaken but I dont think we know what specific pathways are the issue or w/e it is. But the good news is that we dont need a "cure" to be able to overcome stuttering. I do think the biggest thing we can do to help us is to change how we view our stuttering and how we feel about it. I know people who used to stutter very severely who have gone on a long personal journey and now they are almost fluent. But they still consider themselves people who stutter because they've learned to accept that and accept themselves. Funny how once we accept and become comfortable being a stutterer that it no longer feels like such a big problem and thus we usually arent as severe.
