I took an acting class my freshmen year of college and did pretty well for the most part (I don't really stutter too terribly when doing "stream of consciousness" type speaking, so I'm not too bad improvising lines), but the final project was a big 2-person scene and I absolutely ruined it for me and my scene partner. Almost 15-minutes of slowly choking out words in front of a crowd of, like, 20 people. Absolute nightmare. You could cut the tension with a knife. Luckily it was also my last final, so as soon as it was over I sprinted out the door, got in my car, and put it 200 miles behind me. I was really hoping to get into theatre in college because I didn't have access to it growing up, but that experience absolutely killed it for me.
