Pronunciation problems

Pronunciation problems In the past few months, I have been able to rid myself of my stutter almost completely. I don't know how I did it, but it somehow just happened, and I am completely amazed. As grateful as I am, I still have one major problem I have to solve. I just realized, even if I am fluent in English, I have difficulty pronouncing many words, and seem to lack the ability to speak fluently and continuously, at a reasonable pace. I just get tongue-tied and start off words either with the wrong sounds, or insert some random syllable I didn't mean to insert. I suppose this is due to all these years of me trying to get around my stutter by mumbling, slurring my words, and generally not speaking clearly, so I think I never learned how to form certain sounds correctly. I've also noticed that I have trouble pronouncing certain sounds, for example, 'r's are particularly difficult to say (I can't form the sound without straining sometimes), and some sounds come out short ("the" comes out as "th", and 'to' comes out as something like 'tuh'). I don't think it's an accent problem, but maybe just something associated with my old stuttering habits? I don't know what to do to fix this besides practicing by talking to people as much as I can. Any suggestions, and any thoughts about my situation? I really do think it's peculiar, because I've always thought I would be able to speak fluently if I didn't have a stutter. I guess not.
