It’s illegal of them to discriminate because of your stutter—ESPECIALLY if you disclose it. Does it still happen? Yes. But I think the odds of them judging your stutter are higher if you don’t disclose—because stuttering is associated with a nervousness, and although they are certainly linked, there’s a different between stuttering from nerves and having a speech disorder. I just think it’s better to lay everything out so if anything negative is written about your stutter, you can at least say you explained your disorder and then it’s on them. Just my opinion.
