I hate how little awareness stuttering has.

I hate how little awareness stuttering has. How is it that us as humans have landed on the moon, sent probes to mars, but can't figure out what causes stuttering? Why is that stuttering just generally gets so little attention from researchers and science when it is arguably one of the most life changing conditions for someone to have? I just find it incredibly annoying because honestly I feel like if scientists REALLY looked into stuttering and did heavy research on it, they could pin point the cause of it and find a cure. When you think about it, it's really such a silly impediment that, given all of humanity's achievements and technological advancements, should not be an issue anymore, but yet, it still is. That's all.
