Yep, I know I do it because some part of me is still trying to "hide" the fact I have a stutter (and maybe I think it will help "lead" into that difficult word). I believe I do it less now than in the past, though, especially since I learned it's not a good thing to do. Just another learned behavior we have to work to "un-learn."
