I'm a senior engineer with a small staff and in charge of several projects. I work in remote locations so am always on the phone with our consultants and HR and head office. The phone sucks, email is my friend but inevitably I am always on the phone or in a conference call. Honestly the worst part for me is introducing everyone present at a meeting when I'm leading a conference call, those are the death of me. besides that once I get going in a presentation or a meeting my stutter is less noticeable. I've also rarely had someone comment on it. In a professional setting it would be very weird to make that sort of comment anyway. As far as tips for interviews or presentations, I used to be horrible at them, confidence in myself and in the material I was presenting is the only way to overcome it. I stutter way less if I know the subject better as it gives me a chance to go off script, reading or rehearsed lines are what get me to block. it's tough to look incompetent if you're the most knowledgeable person in the room and that's always what I've strived for. Try not to let your stutter dictate your career
