I have a few events like that, that I look back on and laugh, but only one I think simple and short enough to tell in writing and still be funny. I was at my friend's place and we were talking. At one point he got up to go to the bathroom or something, and I decided to just say one last thing, so he stopped to listen. It turned out that I simply couldn't get the word out, so he finally just said, "ok, keep trying and I'll be right back and you'll tell me then, alright?" He was just so sincere and didn't mean anything bad by it, I couldn't stop laughing.
