Hi Schmidet, I totally get your frustration. Despite having a very difficult stutter, you seem to have a good attitude and continue to try to progress through school which I commend. It's very good that you put in so much effort, but you need to be a little careful because if you put in all your effort into things that don't work, you will burn yourself out. This happened to me. If you ever see a psychologist or a speech therapist again, let me tell you that many speech therapists and pretty much no psychology do not understand stuttering, so if you meet with one and it doesn't feel right, dont waste your time and try to find someone you trust. What you probably need more than anything is someone who can listen to you, without pity but with real empathy. I don't know if you have seen the resources on the sidebar, but to start I recommend listening to www.stuttertalk.com. They really understand the issue of stuttering and give a lot of good information. I recommend starting with some of the earlier episodes. You will learn that trying to be mute will only make things worse, but I think you already know this. Also, there is a google hangout talk group called Stutter Social. If you have facebook, find Stuttersocial on facebook and like them. They will post a links throughout the week where stutterers from all over the world come together and talk in a safe space. Let me know if you have any specific questions you want to know. I've been around a lot of therapists and people who stutter so I think I have a good understanding of it.
