Here in the netherlands its pretty accepted. My teachers respect it and dont let my stuttering effect my further public presentation performance for example. I often tell them and theyre fine with it, if i want they even wont give me reading turns when were reading a text with the class. I do get mocked or people laugh at me frequently but if i tell them i find that disrespectful they often feel embarassed after and wont do it again. All in all i think its really good compared to other countries.
