I did a ton of therapy and at best it was only gave me temporary control. Then I found a new therapy that is about letting go of control and I think im much happier. Check out her talks: http://stuttertalk.com/tag/vivian-sisskin/ One thing that's become really clear to me is while most SLPs really want to help and mean well, most are clueless when it comes to stuttering. You really need to try to find one who gets it and knows what he/she is doing. But I know without my therapist i'd still be lost.
