I have had various types of speech therapy and have got something out of it every time. I don't think it is a cure but it gives you all the tools you need to manage your stutter. Stuttering is a speech impediment. Tapping might give a short term boost to fluency but the effect goes over time and leaves you fidgetting or twitching which makes your communication worse. Some people pinch themselves, shut their eyes, bob their head etc. I would try to stop doing these things if you are picking them up. Question for you. Does it matter if you stutter at work? While your stutter might be challenging, are you still managing to articulate your points. For me, I found that focusing on the accomplishments rather than the struggle reduces anxiety and tension over time which improves my speech. (I might have stuttered badly in a meeting but I got my point across, I couldn't have done much to improve the situation, I reset and move on).
