Has your leadership told you it’s not working out? Are you concerned about getting fired or is it taking an emotional toll or both. I’ve gone through harsh work meetings and presentations, and rarely has a manager told me to “stop stuttering” or “it’s affecting performance”. I’m also in a technical role, so my contribution is primarily my problem solving skills and not necessarily selling it vocally. I’ve learned to keep pressing forward no matter how severe my stuttered has been in calls or meetings until my management tells me there’s a problem. Even then, while it’s evident I have some challenges, the focus is to work through them so I can still provide my technical skills. I completely sympathize with the emotional toll this can take. I accept it, but can’t let it stop me. Be open about the issue and find ways to work through it.
