Not all kids are the same, so take this with a grain of salt. My parents rarely acknowledged my stutter, and always pushed me to speak for myself. I credit my improved fluency and confidence to that. My parents never talked about any of their worries regarding my speech, to me. I’m sure they hoped it would get better, but never put the pressure of something I can’t control onto my shoulders. If you ask me, how your daughter feels will always be more important than how she speaks. You already know that. A solid foundation of confidence and self esteem will help her weather any teasing she might experience. Many people on this sub will tell you, self esteem and confidence improved their fluency. Your daughter is lucky to have a parent like you!
