Sorry for my vent, but this really annoys me. For context. I work in retail. I'm on the tills a lot because I love it. I get some customers mocking how I get stuck on words, they LAUGH BC clearly, they see nothing wrong with it, and they repeat it back to me. They mock me. They're oblivious that that is them making fun of me. With the steenest face I can muster, I straight up tell them never to do that again because I have a stutter. Then they're horrified they mocked me- what did the FUCK did they think they were trying to achieve??? Did they honestly think I was going to laugh along and not call them out? Absolute idiots. Not to generilize, but it's mostly the older generation. In my experience, a lot of them think they're the funniest people in the world anyway, so maybe that's why they do it. But I really have no idea what goes on in people's heads when they act horrified when someone calls them out for mocking a stutter. That's bullying. I have a stutter. Of course I'm going to have a go at you
