Well, that's a good question that's hard to describe. I really suggest taking up yoga. It helped teach me to isolate muscles to learn to relax. I often just let my mouth, face go slack. That's how I loosen up my jaw. And I try to relax my neck and shoulders by leaning back in my seat and just resting. It's kind of meditative. Practice it every day (maybe every morning?).
