I’m so sorry 😞 That is so hurtful and fucked up to hear from your own parent! Jesus. My husband has a pretty bad stutter and his brother once left him a voicemail, angry that my husband wasn’t calling him back, and called him a stuttering prick and started mocking his stutter on the VM. My husband went no contact. He struggled for a long time with guilt that he was hurting his mom by not speaking to his brother. But in the end, no one gets to treat you that way. You wouldn’t take that bullshit from a friend. Family does not get a pass. If anything, it’s worse. I’m not telling you to go no contact with your parents, I obviously don’t know your situation. But just want to genuinely say that I’m so sorry that this is what you’re dealing with. I guarantee you deserve better.
