I'm sorry to hear about your change. It certainly is no joke. It is possible, though unlikely, that there is something serious causing your stuttering. I've never heard of someone having a stroke and not knowing it, but the safest thing is, like the other person says, to see a doctor. Your condition is called neurogenic stuttering, as opposed to developmental.
