Wearing a mask to "cover" your stutter
Content
Wearing a mask to "cover" your stutter My girlfriend stutters - and since the pandemic wear masks became common - she wears one in public because she feels self-conscious when she stutters. When she gets stuck sometimes she would stick her tongue out (which she's embarrassed by) and also if she's really having some difficult speaking she would unintentionally spit. I didn't want to discourage her from wearing a mask because of her stutter because I want her to be as comfortable as she wants to and of course this is her decision. But I'm curious does anyone else here wear a mask or something else that "covers" your stutter?
