Thank you for the amazing advice, I really appreciate it! I’ll be leading independent study groups, so anywhere from 1 student to 120. That’s kinda the part that scares me, there’s so many unknown factors. But, in any case I think you make a great point, telling them ahead of time will certainly ease some tension.
