Every time a stuttering related thought pops up you have to instantly stop it in its tracks. Become aware that you're having this thought and insantly dismiss it. If you're failing to do this try to practice with meditation, this will make you more aware of the thoughts that you are having. After a while of doing this your mind will be trained to instantly dismiss any stuttering related thoughts. Key is to stay consistent with dismissing negative thoughts as it may take a while before this becomes automatic. Eventually you will barely think of your stutter. You've probably been having these stutter thoughts for a very long time so don't become discouraged if you don't see results instantly. It has taken me a very long time (years) to fully grasp these concepts of mind control. There are 2 books I would 100% recommend to anyone struggling with stuttering and negative thoughts/negative self-image. Had I know about these books earlier then I'm sure I could have been 95% fluent within a year Stuttering & Anxiety Self-Cures: What 100+ PWS Taught Me by Lee G Lovett And Psycho-cybernetics by Maxwell Maltz Diligenty read these 2 books, study it like you will be having an exam about it. Practice the excersises that are described in these books. Stuttering is 90-99% curable my dude.
