No company can legally deny you a job based on your stutter; speech impediments are protected by the ADA. You will, however, have to be very selective to avoid a job with copious amounts of talking. I had the same fears when I first got a job. My first job was in retail, overnight stocking-what better way to avoid humanity? I've been with the same company a very, very long time, and now I'm in a management position, supervising lots of people and making very good money. What complaints people do have about me are much more work related and never anything to do with my stutter. It's never easy, being in the workplace with a stutter, but it's far from impossible. Good luck to you.
