The subconscious part of our mind is what allows us to perform movements without consciously thinking of every movement, such as breathing or walking. We can train it to learn new movements, or react differently through conditioning or repetition. If the term hypnosis is an issue, the basic principles of behavioral conditioning via repetition still hold true.
