i also stutter and started speech therapy more than a year ago. One thing my speech therapist recomended me was to just outright tell people you meet that you have a stutter. because often times when stutterers talk they tend to want to hide their stutter which (atleast in my case) can result in you forcing out your words and putting more pressure on your throat. By just 'outing' yourself infrot of people you take that pressure of. For me it really relieved me to finally be 'allowed' to stutter. Even though it probably sounds exagerrated it helped my mental state so much and even though i'm nowhere near where i want to be with my stutter that acceptance was a really important step, also because my stutter is way softer once i'm in that mindset which allows me to use my stutter techniques, which my therapist has taught me. I also realised that most people don't really care about your stutter and if they do you're just gonna own it by outing yourself! Of course that isn't the whole clue for stuttering and also won't help every individual but it can be an important step:)
