Stimulants are the most effective medications. I take Vyvanse 30 mg and it works really well. However, I'll feel "revved" up a bit because it is an amphetamine. Sometimes it betters my stutter, sometimes it makes it a bit worse. It can make me feel more social, confident, and focused but it can make me tense up easier. It's bitter sweet. It also suppresses appetite so I try to just take it on the weekends to be more out going. Usually you have to take an ADHD test given by a psychiatrist to be prescribed stimulants but that's not with every doctor. In the US, stimulants are schedule II so doctors take them pretty serious since the DEA does as well.
