I understand your frustration. Many times I've tried to say something to people or friends when I was excited, but I started to stutter so it took me twice as long and I ended making an incoherent comment. By the time I said the comment, they had lost interest. But I have also learned that real friends are patient and will listen to when I have to say, no matter how long it takes me to say it and how much I stutter. In the past I have also had people ridicule me for stuttering when I was angry, or vice versa where the ridicule made me angry. The worst was when someone mockingly tried to imitate my stuttering. It's just rude to mockingly imitated someone's disability in front of them. One thing I've realized is that there no matter how much we tell people not be jerks, some people always are.
