I would say confidence is a big one however I still struggle with this as most of us do. Having friends or someone who accepts you for everything that you are gives real confidence. For me, being understood and not feeling less than others really helped a lot in my formative years. I’m actually in law enforcement now and I’ve not let this struggle define me, it just adds more depth to who I am. Speech therapy is an absolute must, I did about a year of that. Religion, being a Christian, I can lean on my God and pray for fluency and confidence knowing that He shed his blood and died for me because I am valued has changed my life. These are the combination of things that works for me.
