It's nothing to do with this subreddit, but expanding my vocabulary helped me a lot. I'm a covert stutterer, where I get silent blocks a lot. Nobody aside from my parents know I stutter, and even they doubt it sometimes. I've gotten extremely good with word substitutions, which is an unfortunate consequence of maintaining fluency with blocks. During my junior year of high school I spent a shit ton of ton studying for SATs and writing a fuckton of papers for my high school. My vocabulary skyrocketed in return. A little more than a year later (Im going to college in the fall at UMD), I have a large bank of words and phrases which help me tremendously. I always recommend silent blockers like me to read up. Pick up a few books.
