I was planning to lead a workshop on a topic I'm passionate about at an association I'm part of. I had written a presentation and decided I'd just send it to interested people, because I was afraid that if I spoke, it would take too long and bother everyone. Yesterday, without me even mentioning my worries, one of the organizers came up to me and said he'd rather I present it orally, that I wasn't bothering anyone, and that we'd have all the time we needed. Then, a girl told me she found the way I speak (stutter and all) melodic. Yesterday was a good day.
