I agree that the company is not upfront about what their product can and cannot do, which has been absolutely devastating to people who believed it was a long term solution, were helped for a bit only to have that fluency disappear. I imagine they do the very minimum to prevent lawsuits? But, it's clearly unethical practice. But, there was an SLP on here not long ago who sold them responsibly. That is, she made it very clear to clients/customers that it could be very helpful if used in limited ways -- presentations, interviews, etc. -- so that the brain doesn't have a chance to adjust. For some people, used in that way, it can help. I say "some people," because there are people for whom these devices don't help at all, even from the beginning.
