This may be a challenging step... Don't stop seeking until you find the right SLP... I imagine it will likely come down to referrals. Start with your primary care physician. Ask them to help you find a speech pathologist. It should be a nice change of pace for them from just writing prescriptions. ;) Check your insurance company to see who they have in network. To find someone who can help you, you might have to go out of network and pay out of pocket. Reach out to rehabilitation therapy practices. Seek out university programs that teach SLP. They will be an excellent resource for finding assistance. The therapist that helped me was heavily involved in academia and research.
