In my personal experience, I generally don’t like it when the person I’m talking to cuts me off to finish a word or even acknowledges it, really. Just kind of treat your coworker like you would anyone else and have a little patience and I’m sure he’ll appreciate it. That being said, a lot of it is personal preference.
