Thanks for the THOUGHT -> FEELING -> ACTION cycle explanation. It makes sense. Being conscious of your thoughts is also something I read about it vipassana meditation technique. You develop a secondary / parallel brain function that sits in the back and analyses your thoughts. But it has been very difficult to do this in practise. Do you have any tips (reading material or otherwise) on how to do this. Also I feel like even if I can tell that a thought is destructive in nature and might not even be true, I still cannot bring myself to just “forget about it”. It keeps lingering and affecting me. I noticed this specially if I smoke ganja. So I have cut back on it.
