When using the "sing-songy" or "slow speech" I feel like I sound like an idiot. Anybody else? The sing-songy style makes me feel like i'm in some kind of musical and is hardly appropriate for any kind of work environment, and the slow speech has been called anything from "handicapped" to "condescending". They do work for me and my stutter, but I A) Don't stutter THAT much and B) feel like a right idiot when I do them. Anybody else in the same boat?
