Hey OP. I am in the same boat. I take some anti depression meds. Surprisingly I found that they also reduce anxiety overall and found it does really reduce anxiety that always seems to come on with speaking to people outside of my inner circle. For me, this lowers my frequency of stuttering but let me be clear: I still stutter and am working hard on feelings of avoidance. Growth mindset in regards to pushing through is so important for me to stay in glass half full mentality. For full effectiveness, getting regular good sleep is really important for me. I started with Sertraline (Zoloft), then due to some undesirable side affects, switched to Escitalopram (Lexapro). Both are SSRIs. Best of luck to you OP on whatever you choose to do.
