the biggest thing I came to realize was that either people don't care or are curious. The dynamics of college for me were much different than high school in terms of how people react to others differences. I adjusted very well in college and had an amazing time. I was surrounded by very funny and down to earth people who encouraged me and were patient with me. I realized I wasn't always able to say what was on my mind but I was an amazing listener...lol...as all of us naturally have been acclimated to be. And people appreciate that more than we realize. Another thing I learned is to master the one liners. Story-telling was (and still isn't) a strong point for obvious reasons, but with having a stutter I find myself better able to interject a witty one liner... and sit back and enjoy the reactions.
